Zidane will need to make rotations and give Jovic, Militao and Vinicius minutes soon

The young prospects must get minutes to continue developing and give the starters some rest.

When Real Madrid completed the signing of Eder Militao and Luka Jovic this past summer most fans and analysts alike thought that Los Blancos were adding two players capable of competing for a spot in the starting lineup as soon as this season. They were young but well prepared as they had been key players for quality teams like Porto and Eintracht Frankfurt.

Together with the up and coming Vinicius Jr.,Madrid had put together a young and intriguing core after a very tough 2018-2019 season for the old guard.

Surprisingly enough, not one of those three players has been getting relevant minutes this campaign. Real Madrid didn't start the season on a good note and coach Zinedine Zidane was forced to find a reliable group of players who could get the job done on a consistent basis. The team has improved a lot lately and Los Blancos have clearly gained confidence and momentum and the current formula is working without Jovic, Militao and Vinicius.

Eventually though, Zidane will just need to trust his young players and make rotations. Players like Ramos and Zidane are not getting any younger and will need to stay fresh throughout the season.

Furthermore, Jovic, Militao and Vinicius are just too good to be involved in just some Copa del Rey games, and more importantly, the club can't afford to waste a season of their devopment after spending €50, €60 and €45 million on their signings.

It won't be easy for Zidane to find minutes for them consistently, but the French coach will have to trust his whole squad if he wants to compete for all three titles.
