Real Madrid left-back Marcelo trained with the squad for a bit of Tuesday’s training session and will try to be available when Los Blancos face Valencia in the Spanish Supercup Semifinal on Wednesday, January 8th.
Marcelo did not complete the training session and will still need some more time to recover properly from the injury which kept him out of the last El Clasico against Barcelona. Marcelo has struggled with injuries so far this season and it would make sense for him to be patient and wait until he’s fully healthy so that he avoids setbacks.
The same thing happens with Lucas Vazquez, who joined the squad for a part of Tuesday’s training session as well.
Other than that, Marco Asensio and Eden Hazard are still recovering on the gym for their respective injuries. Hazard will try to make his return to the team this January while Asensio will need more time to rehab from the ACL tear he suffered last summer.
