Real Madrid’s spokesman and former attacker Emilio Butragueño talked to Movistar La Liga about Vinicius Junior, who earned his first start for the club in quite a while and completed a solid performance during the 2-0 win against Espanyol this past Saturday.

“I think he completed a great match. I was an attacker myself and I know what I’m talking about. For someone to create as many goal scoring chances, he is just wonderful. He dribbles past opponents, he is powerful and he’s quick. He’s completed an excellent match,” said Butragueño when asked about Real Madrid’s promising player.

Vinicius has struggled scoring goals and much has been said about his finishing skills. Butragueño isn’t worried.

“It’s true that most people talk about goals, but he’s still a very, very young player and he creates so many plays, so we understand that he has a great potential and we have to take advantage of it,” explained Real’s legend.

Vinicius has a great opportunity to prove his worth now that Eden Hazard is out with an injury. While it seems that he will still come off the bench as soon as Bale recovers from his small hamstring issue, Vinicius will definitely get the minutes he needs to regain some confidence and show that he can still make an impact.
