Real Madrid published a medical report on midfielder Isco Alarcon, who missed Saturday’s match against Atletico de Madrid with a back injury.

After the tests carried out today by the Real Madrid Sanitas Medical Services on our player Isco, his back and neck pain has been diagnosed as acute dorsalgia & cervicalgia. His recovery will continue to be assessed.

Isco will miss Wednesday’s clash against Ajax Amsterdam in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 and could spend some more time recovering from this injury.

The midfielder has not been a relevant player for Santi Solari and it will be even harder for him to get some valuable minutes now that Real Madrid have been performing better. If Solari ends up staying after this season, Isco will almost surely leave the club as he tries to find the kind of role he wants to be in.
