Real Madrid visit Amsterdam to face Ajax in the first leg of the Champions League’s Round of 16. Los Blancos have been playing very well after the Christmas break and are considered the heavy favorites to advance to the Quarterfinals, even though Ajax’s quality and ability to control the tempo of the game could make things tough for Solari’s men if they don’t defend with poise and composure.

Luckily enough for the Argentinian coach, most of his players are healthy and ready to go. In fact, this game could be a good opportunity for Marcelo, Asensio or Gareth Bale, who have lost their spots as starters after their injuries. These three men need quality minutes to improve their form and conditioning and they still have the quality to deliver against Ajax, so Solari could possibly give them a chance to feature in the starting lineup.

Ajax have lost two of their last three games and Madrid will try to take advantage of that tonight.
