Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois shared some words after the team’s discouraging 1-2 loss against Girona in what should’ve been a fairly manageable game for Los Blancos.
Yesterday's game was a disappointment, but I'm convinced we're heading in the right direction. Our game has improved tremendously since the start of the season. We learn lessons from this. We have talent, team spirit and determination to continue to improve.#HalaMadrid pic.twitter.com/WYxWgulgIs

Real Madrid now have a chance to regroup given that they won’t play against until the weekend, when they’ll face Levante next Sunday. Los Blancos were completing some impressive performances lately with wins against Ajax, Sevilla, Valencia and Atletico de Madrid and a solid draw at the Camp Nou in the first leg of the Copa del Rey Semifinals, but the recent loss against Girona proves that the team still has it weaknesses and that the board will need to address these issues in the summer.
Real Madrid’s upcoming away match against Levante will be an important one in order to gain momentum ahead of the return leg of the Semifinals against Barcelona. Los Blancos have become somewhat of an unreliable team and they need to find some consistency in order to compete for all three titles.
