Ramos will miss Copa del Rey Final if booked during return leg against Barcelona

That’s if Madrid go through, of course.

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos will be suspended for the Copa del Rey Final if he gets booked during the upcoming return leg of the Semifinals against Barcelona, assuming Los Blancos end up advancing to the decisive match for the title.

The club appealed the yellow card Ramos saw during the first leg at the Camp Nou but the Spanish Football Federation did not change the referee’s decision, which was to book the Spanish defender.

Real Madrid earned a solid 1-1 away draw at the Camp Nou, meaning that they have a small edge over Barça right now. A 0-0 draw would be enough for Los Blancos so Barcelona will have to go for the win, something which could ultimately benefit Madrid if they can play with a more counterattacking style. Knowing that they are 9 points behind Barcelona in La Liga table, Los Blancos will have to give their all in this return leg as the Copa del Rey is clearly their most realistic chance to win a trophy this season.
