Rayo Vallecano striker Raul de Tomas talked to BeIN Sports and confirmed that he will be a Real Madrid player after the end of this season.
“It’s a bit too early to talk about my future given that June is still so far away. The only thing I can say is that I have to go back to Real Madrid because I’m under contract and that’s something I have to respect. Once I’m there, we’ll see what happens,” said De Tomas, suggesting that he could still find a new club during the summer if Madrid can’t give him the role he wants.
De Tomas is having himself a season and Real Madrid have been lacking some scoring punch. However, the attacker praised Madrid’s strikers, especially Karim Benzema.
“Madrid produce so many chances, Benzema is the world’s best striker, I’ve always said that. Whoever doubts Benzema is doubting football itself, you just can’t find a striker like him capable of combining with his teammates, creating chances and deliver assists,” said De Tomas.
The attacker has scored 9 goals this season and will play a crucial part in Rayo’s hopes of avoiding relegation.
