Real Madrid published their squad list for Sunday’s home match against Alaves in La Liga.
REAL MADRID’S SQUAD LIST:
Goalkeepers: Navas, Courtois and Altube.
Defenders: Ramos, Nacho, Marcelo, Odriozola, Reguilón and Javi Sánchez.
Midfielders: Modric, Casemiro, Llorente, Asensio, Isco and Ceballos.
Attackers: Mariano, Benzema, Bale, Lucas Vázquez and Vinicius Jr.
This should be a fairly manageable game for Los Blancos, although it’s true that Alaves have been performing well this season. Solari could decide to make some rotations in order to give his starters some rest ahead of next week, when they will face Barcelona in the Semifinals of the Copa del Rey and Atletico de Madrid in the Madrid Derby.
Key players like Benzema, Ramos, Varane or Vinicius could use some rest as they’ve been playing almost every game after the Christmas break. Real Madrid will need to be as fresh as they can be when they visit Barcelona next Wednesday and that’s why it’d make sense to make some rotations here.
However, Barça dropped points against Valencia this Saturday and Madrid could try to take advantage of their chance to cut their current deficit down to eight points.
