Real Madrid have traveled to Barcelona in the first of two legs of the Copa del Rey “El Clasico” semi-finals. Are our hearts and minds prepared to play these over-confident cules three times in just three and a half weeks? Today is just the beginning, but an important beginning.
We have all of our players at our disposal, save Vallejo (almost!), and our form has at least improved since the last El Clasico. Maybe some of you have seen these numbers floating around, and it is open to each individual how you would like to interpret, but have a look at this bit of interesting information.
Since the first El Clasico this season:
Real Madrid
20 Games
15 Wins
1 Draw
4 Losses
47 Goals Scored
20 Goals Allowed
46 Points
Barcelona
20 Games
14 Wins
3 Draws
3 Losses
49 Goals Scored
18 Goals Allowed
45 Points
This could mean absolutely nothing based on which teams we have played and so on, but look I’m just trying to be hopeful, okay?! Nothing wrong with that!
El Clasico’s are always highly emotional games so let’s be sure to remain respectful and calm, and have a good time. HALA MADRID!
