Real Madrid are back in training after the disappointing 0-3 loss against Barcelona in the return leg of the Copa del Rey Semifinals. Los Blancos need to get ready for yet another El Clasico as they will host Barça again this Saturday.
Luckily enough for coach Santiago Solari, defender Raphael Varane is fine and will be available for this game even though it appeared that he hurt his knee during Wednesday’s match.
All things considered, midfielder Marcos Llorente is now Real Madrid’s only injured player. He is still trying to recover from the muscle injury he picked up during the first leg of the Copa del Rey Semifinals.
Solari could decide to make some rotations for this upcoming El Clasico given that Madrid play a crucial match against Ajax next week. Los Blancos are already nine points behind Barcelona in La Liga table and could probably use some rest, even though it’s clear that they will also want to make a statement against Barça after the discouraging 0-3 suffered this week.
