Real Madrid president Florentino Perez talked to the press after Zinedine Zidane’s press conference at the Santiago Bernabeu. Perez attended Esteban Granero’s Cena Pirata and delivered his thoughts about Real’s future.
“Zidane is French, maybe he can convince Mbappe...” said a smiling Perez when asked about the signings. He went even further when he was asked about who he prefers between Neymar and Mbappe. “Both,” he said.
Still, Florentino Perez said that the team has to focus on “the last 11 games.”
It seems clear that Real Madrid will upgrade the team next summer. Mbappe said this weekend that he will be a PSG player next season “100% sure”, so it won’t be easy for Los Blancos to go after him. On the other hand, Neymar’s value as a player is decreasing year after year given how much time he spends injured.
Either way, it’s all in Zidane’s hands now, given that he reportedly has total control of the transfers.
