Mourinho: “Zidane’s signing is perfect for Real Madrid”

Former Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho talked to Spanish TV show El Chiringuito and shared his thoughts on the return of club legend Zinedine Zidane.

“It’s perfect because he’s done fantastic things over the last few years. It’s perfect, perfect for Madrid and perfect for him, because it’s a great chance for him to prove his worth with a new project now. I think it’s perfect and I wish him and Real Madrid all the best,” said Mourinho to reporter Diego Plaza.

The Portuguese coach was reported to be one of the candidates to replace Solari if Zidane had not been available.

“How can I be disappointed?! No! I never said I was keen on going there or not. I’m telling you it’s perfect,” added Mourinho.

“No, nobody has explained anything to me, but they don’t have to. Why should they?” concluded Mourinho when asked about if he has talked to the club.
