Real Madrid host Celta Vigo in what will be Zinedine Zidane’s return to the bench nine months after leaving the club. This should be a manageable game for Los Blancos given how poorly Celta have been playing lately, but the spotlight will be focused on Zidane himself.

The French coach will need to trust some of his reserves in this game. Players like Vinicius, Casemiro, Carvajal or Lucas Vazquez are not available and some other young men like Ceballos, Valverde, Brahim or Odriozola will try to earn their place in next year’s squad, given that Zidane will surely pay close attention to see if he can trust them going forward. Isco and Marcelo will be expected to play some minutes sooner rather than later. Zidane could possibly give them the confidence to play so that they can prove they can still contribute.

This is a match Real Madrid should take care of.
