Real Madrid midfielder Martin Odegaard, who is spending the season on a loan deal with Vitesse, has talked to the press about Zinedine Zidane’s return to Los Blancos.
“I think is positive, he had so many successful seasons, he knows the club and the players and they also know him well and had a good relationship with him. I think it’s perfect,” said Odegaard.
“It’s also positive for me because I know him well and we had a good relationship. He coached me in Madrid and also in Castilla,” added the midfielder.
Odegaard is 20 years old and will surely be hoping to stay in Real Madrid once his current deal with Vitesse expires next summer. He has been completing good performances in the Eredivisie but it’s clear that La Liga is an entirely different league and it might be tough for Odegaard to earn minutes in Madrid next season. That’s why it would make sense for Los Blancos to send him on yet another loan deal, but this time to a Spanish club.
