Real Madrid midfielder Marcos Llorente rejoined the squad in training this Wednesday after recovering from the injury he picked up in the first leg of the Copa del Rey Semifinals against Barcelona. Llorente will have two weeks to get ready for Real’s next game given that there’s a FIFA break now.
The Spanish midfielder had managed to earn a relevant role under former coach Santiago Solari but it’s not clear if Zinedine Zidane will trust him. Last season, Llorente didn’t play meaningful minutes and it looked as if he was going to leave the club. However, Zidane’s departure gave him the chance to prove his worth.
The situation has changed now. Llorente is a valuable player and he’s performed even better than Casemiro during some parts of this current season. If Zidane still doesn’t like what he sees from him, the midfielder will have to find a new club in the summer.
