Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez has talked to Radio Galega about his future in the club going forward.
“I don’t know if I’ll ever play abroad or not, even though I watch foreign leagues quite often, but I want to stay in Real Madrid as long as I can. Then, we will see what happens,” said the winger, who also revealed how tough it was for him to leave his hometown in Galicia to play for Real Madrid’s academy.
“I lived in Curtis, population 2,000 and I left my family and friends behind to live in a residence in such an impressive city. I was going to play for Real Madrid, something I only dreamed of as a child, so I did not hesitate,” he adds.
Vazquez has always been a relevant player for coach Zinedine Zidane, so the Spanish winger will almost certainly stay in the club this summer and be an important backup next season.
