Chelsea coach Maurizio Sarri talked to the press this Friday and couldn’t avoid the questions about Eden Hazard’s future and the rumors suggesting that he’s going to leave the club to join Real Madrid.

“We cannot solve this matter right now, the transfer window is shut, so it’s not important. I want to respect his decision but I don’t know if he has made up his mind at this point or not,” said Sarri.

“I just don’t know. You have the chance to ask him or the club about it. I’m not in charge of the market. For me, the player is important at the moment and we need him to be 100% for these last two months,” he added when asked again about Hazard.

Former Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois officially confirmed that Hazard wants to join Real Madrid. The winger has not signed a contract extension with the London-based club and his deal expires in 2020, meaning that Chelsea’s hand might be forced this next summer if Hazard lets them know that he is going to leave as a free agent as soon as he can.

That way, Real Madrid would get the player a year earlier while Chelsea would also get some money in exchange for the Belgian star in what would be a similar deal than the one that sent Courtois to the Spanish capital.
