Future Real Madrid attacker and current Santos forward, Rodrygo Goes, was apparently threatened during his sides 3-2 win over Oeste. The incident occurred after a tackle by 34-year-old Oeste center back, Kanu. Speaking to SporTV after the game, Rodrygo felt it was important for the world to know what exactly was said:
“Something very ugly happened during the game,” Rodrygo told reporters. “I was offside in a certain play. I had dribbled Kanu and he tackled me. That was fine and it was normal.
“But then I was close to him and he said: ‘Get far from me or I will cripple you. It’s normal to say some things to your rival, but to say that you will cripple someone, this is not normal. I think the media needs to know.”
As previously reported by Kiyan Sobhani and Managing Madrid, Rodrygo has a good head on his shoulders and is considered, by those who know him best, to be very mature for his age. Now under the tutelage of former Sevilla manager, Jorge Sampaoli, at Santos Rodrygo will be looking to further his development and remain healthy before heading for his dream move to Madrid this summer.
