The upcoming match between Real Madrid and Ajax can’t be any more crucial for Los Blancos, who are coming off two straight home losses against Barcelona. The UEFA Champions League is now Madrid’s only chance at winning a title this season, but they will need to take care of business against Ajax, who completed a brilliant performance in the first leg even though the game ultimately ended in a 1-2 away win for Madrid.

Solari and the rest of the coaching staff won’t be able to rely on Sergio Ramos. The captain saw a yellow card on the first leg and later admitted that he tried to get booked in order to secure his presence in the potential first leg of the Quarterfinals. That’s against UEFA rules and the European committee decided to suspend him for two games, something which could cost Real Madrid this Tuesday if Ajax manage to create dangerous chances as they did when these two teams met.
