Real Madrid will sack coach Santiago Solari in the upcoming days and have asked Zinedine Zidane to come back to the club, according to a report from La Sexta. The French coach would be keen on a return to the Spanish capital during the summer but Madrid want him to replace Solari before the end of the season, per that same report.

Real Madrid would be giving Zidane the power to control the signings and departures from the club if the Frenchmand agrees to come back.

Former Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho would be on Real Madrid’s radar if Zidane decides not to join the club, per that same report from La Sexta. Mourinho was asked about this report today and said that there has been no contact between the club and his representatives.

“It’s an honor that the fans are thinking of me but this is just speculation, nothing is going on,” said Mourinho when asked about it.

Either way, it looks like Solari’s days are numbered after Real Madrid’s three disappointing losses against Barcelona and Ajax.
