Real Madrid wonder kid Vinicius Junior talked to Esporte right after the team’s 1-4 loss against Ajax and shared his thoughts on Real’s poor season.

“We’re all very sad, Real Madrid are used to win everything and to be eliminated in the Round of 16 is just very sad. We know we can learn from this defeat but we never want to lose. We will think a lot about this game and all we’ve been through so that we can improve before the end of the season,” said the young attacker.

“It’s all very tough, we were knocked out of the Copa del Rey and La Liga is just very difficult for us right now. We knew this was a year to kind of rebuild the squad after the departure of players like Cristiano Ronaldo. The dressing room knew it was going to be tough, we now have to bounce back and use the games we have left to regain some confidence,” added Vinicius.

Vinicius has been a bright spot for Real Madrid in his first season in European football. If he improves his finishing, it looks like he might be the real deal.
