Raul Gonzalez to coach Real Madrid Castilla next season

Real Madrid legend Raul Gonzalez will coach Castilla next season, according to reports published in the Spanish press. Raul won his first title as a coach when the Juvenil B team won La Liga last week.

The former attacker obviously lacks the experience to coach in elite football right now but he will get a very valuable opportunity to improve in Castilla. It’s important to note that the club seems to have a lot of faith in his potential as a coach given that they did not trust Guti for the Castilla job when almost every fan and reporter thought that he should be the main candidate to replace Solari.

Castilla have been performing well this season and they have a chance to promote to the Segunda Division, something which would be ideal for Raul and most of the Castilla prospects, given that the Spanish Segunda Division is a much better competition that the Segunda Division B.
