Casemiro says Pogba “would be welcome if he signs for Real Madrid”

Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro talked to the press and praised Manchester United’s Paul Pogba, who’s rumored to be on Madrid’s radar for the upcoming transfer window.

“Pogba could play in any team because he’s a great player. He would be welcome if he arrives. However, he’s not here and we have to respect Manchester United,” said Casemiro.

Pogba himself is reportedly keen on joining Real Madrid in the summer, even more so after Zinedine Zidane’s return to the club. However, it won’t be easy for Los Blancos to complete such a deal given how much United spent to sign him away from Juventus just two years ago.

The French midfielder is a quality player but he might not be worth of such a fee. Madrid definitely need to upgrade their midfield because of Luka Modric’s age. Pogba could be a long term replacement for Modric and the deal could make sense if Madrid can negotiate a reasonable price.
