Spanish publication AS reported on Thursday night that Toni Kroos had decided to leave Real Madrid “for a fresh start and change of air” this summer. The report went as far as to say that “the German feels he has completed a cycle at the club since arriving in 2014”. But early on Friday, Toni Kroos tweeted out to the public: “Totally false information !!!!!!” in regards to the report by AS:
Información absolutamente falsa‼️‼️‼️ https://t.co/z2PYwz0fiA

It seems clear, despite what changes may occur this summer, that Toni Kroos wants to stay at Real Madrid. He has long been a fan favorite and will likely procure legend status when he does ultimately decide to depart. For Kroos, given his astronomically high standards, it has been a very poor season. He and the whole of the Madrid squad — those that ultimately remain — will look to use the past 10 months as motivation in their preparations for the 2019-2020 season.
