Real Madrid are willing to spend €70 million to sign Serbian striker Luka Jovic away from Eintracht Frankfurt, according to a report from MARCA. Jovic will be Madrid’s priority to improve the offensive line in the upcoming transfer window.
The attacker is 21 years old and has already scored 25 goals this season. Real Madrid and Eintracht have a good relationship after the loan deals of Omar Mascarell and Jesus Vallejo, so Los Blancos could have the edge over other clubs if they are really interested in signing the promising striker.
FC Barcelona were reportedly after Jovic as well but apparently they’ve dropped their interest quite a lot in the past few weeks.
It definitely looks like Madrid want to add some depth to their attack, with Eden Hazard also rumored to be on his way to the Spanish capital next summer. If Los Blancos complete the signing of Jovic, it will be interesting to see if he can earn a spot in the starting lineup ahead of Karim Benzema, who is completing a brilliant season leading Real’s attack.
