Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas talked to the press about his future in the club right after the 1-1 draw against Leganes this Monday.

“Well, I’m under contract. Only God knows what will happen but I have faith that I will stay, we have to wait until it happens,” said Navas.

Reports coming from Spain suggest that Real Madrid will trust Thibaut Courtois for the starting spot next season, but Navas’ commitment could be important down the road if he doesn’t want to leave the club.

“We have to give a good effort and to the best we can every time we get the chance,” added Navas when asked about his current situation after starting the season as the reserve goalkeeper.

“Well, there’s no secret that this has been a difficult season for all of us. It’s hard to explain but we struggle during the games, it’s complicated,” concluded Navas.

It will be interesting to see what Zidane decides to do with his goalkeepers when Courtois recovers from his hamstring injury.
