Aleix Febas is a man in form, scoring two goals in his last three games for second division side, Albacete. The small city of Albacete is just a couple hours from Madrid, but are another neighboring Madrid club fighting to reach promotion and ascend to La Liga. Albacete sit in second place in LaLiga 1|2|3 and Febas has been a crucial part to their good form. The central midfielder has played 31 matches this season and accumulated over 2,500 minutes in the second division under former Castilla coach Luis Miguel Ramis. In a recent interview with Radio MARCA, Febas spoke about his hopes of reaching La Liga and his future plans:

*Below is a transcription of his interview from Spanish to English

Do you see yourself prepared for first division football?

“I am completely concentrated on finishing this year in the best form possible on an individual level as well as the collective level at Albacete. Though of course, it is the dream of any player to be in the first division. You have to be ambitious and yes, I do see myself as prepared”.

Could you play in the first division with Albacete?

“I am on loan from Real Madrid and the club will make that decision, but logically, I would love to play in the first division at the hand of Ramis and this Albacete team. It would certainly be approved by me”.

What is your future with Real Madrid?

“The truth is that I have not even begun to think about that, because we [Albacete] still have eight finals remaining and we are playing for everything. The rest will come afterwards”.

Zidane hasn’t called you?

“No, the truth is that I have not received contact from him nor Solari. But it is okay, that is normal”.

What would you bring to the first division?

“Well, first you have to get there and reach that level. But, I would bring ambition, hard work, and above all my competitive nature. It doesn’t matter what level, these values would be with me in the first, second, or any other division”.

Reguilon, the latest Canterano in the first team:

“It’s clear, Reguilon has demonstrated that he has the ability to be in the Real Madrid first team. I think he is an example for any Canterano that with hard work, your opportunity may arrive”.
