Real Madrid will try to sign Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba this next summer and have already started talks to acquire the Frenchman, according to Telefoot. Pogba’s situation in Manchester could become a problem if the British side don’t compete in the Champions League next season, per that same report.
Reports from the British press —even if not the most reliable out there— have been suggesting that Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola will do his very best to move his player to the Spanish capital as soon as the season ends. Manchester United don’t want to sell the midfielder, though, so Real Madrid could need some patience if they really want to sign him.
Furthermore, Pogba currently earns €17 million/year and Real Madrid will not be willing to match that kind of salary, so he would have to accept some other deal in order to wear the white shirt.
These big deals are always very hard to complete and while it seems that Madrid are interested in the player and that Pogba would also be keen on joining the club, if Manchester United intend to keep him around Los Blancos will probably have to look elsewhere.
