Real Madrid prospect Martin Odegaard is performing well with Vittesse and it seems that Los Blancos are ready to take advantage of that and sell the player for €20 million this next summer, with Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam willing to spend that money and sign the player, according to a report from Telegraaf.
Los Blancos would almost certainly keep an option to buy Odegaard back in case he actually makes a big impact in Ajax, just as they did with Mariano when the attacker signed for Lyon.
Odegaard himself admitted that his agent is already speaking with Real Madrid about his future.
“My agent is already speaking with them [Real Madrid] about some things. We will see what is best for my development and then make a decision together,” said the playmaker.
Odegaard could complete a part of the pre-season with Real Madrid just so that coach Zinedine Zidane can make a final decision about the player’s role and potential before making a decision the club could potentially regret.
