Manchester United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was asked about the rumors suggesting that midfielder Paul Pogba might be on his way to Real Madrid next summer. Solskjaer is confident that United will be able to keep the French star.
“I think he will be here next season. Paul has done a fantastic job with us, he’s a leader. You can never guarantee anything, but I believe he will stay in United for sure,” said Solskjaer when asked about the future of his midfielder.
Reports from the Spanish and French press indicate that Pogba will ask to leave the club next summer, especially if the Red Devils can’t earn a spot to compete in next year’s edition of the UEFA Champions League. However, it won’t be easy for Madrid to complete this signing even if they’re interested, as United don’t appear to be keen on selling the midfielder and Los Blancos could need to send a big offer.
