Real Madrid published their squad list for Sunday’s away match against Rayo Vallecano.
REAL MADRID SQUAD:
Goalkeepers: Navas, Courtois, Altube.
Defenders: Carvajal, Vallejo, Varane, Nacho, Marcelo.
Midfielders: Kroos, Modric, Casemiro, Llorente, Asensio, Brahim, Isco, Ceballos.
Forwards: Mariano, Bale, Lucas Vázquez.
Marcos Llorente and Dani Ceballos made the list and now Zidane decided to leave Sergio Reguilon out of the squad. Karim Benzema is also not available with a hamstring injury he picked up this week and that means that Mariano will almost certainly replace him in Real’s starting lineup.
Rayo will surely play with a lot of intensity as they are currently trying to avoid relegation. New coach Paco Jemez has an offensive mindset and Madrid should have enough chances to score, but Los Blancos will also need to be disciplined on defense as Rayo could try to control the tempo of the game in order to create their own opportunities.
