Bale “100% committed to Real Madrid,” says agent

Gareth Bale’s agent Jonathan Barnett has once again talked about his client, this time for BBC Wales.

“Gareth is 100 per cent committed to Real Madrid, nothing has changed,” said Barnett.

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane was asked about this very same topic after the loss against Rayo Vallecano and here’s what he said.

“I don’t know if he’s committed, you’ll have to ask him.”

It’s now clear that Real Madrid want to part ways with Gareth Bale but the Welshman might not be willing to leave knowing that he could need to take a salary cut in his next club, given that it’s unlikely that some other club pays him around €19 million/year.

Madrid decided to give Bale another chance after the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo but the Welshman could neither stay healthy nor lead the team when he was available, so it makes sense to sell him, sign a quality replacement and just move on.
