Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal rejoined the squad in training this Friday ahead of the team’s home match against Eibar, which will be played this upcoming Saturday. Carvajal had been out with an injury ever since Real Madrid’s loss against Ajax in the return leg of the Champions League’s Round of 16.
Even though it’s clear that Carvajal is ready to play, coach Zinedine Zidane could still wait until Real’s match against Leganes on April 15th to give him minutes, just so that the defender improves his conditioning.
Carvajal has been replaced by Alvaro Odriozola every time he’s been injured. Odriozola has performed well this season and that’s the main reason why Zidane should not rush Carvajal back.
Real Madrid will try to bounce back from their disappointing loss to Valencia, but Eibar have been playing well this season and Los Blancos will need a solid effort if they want the three points.
