Odegaard: “I have to talk with Real Madrid and we’ll make a decision”

Real Madrid wonder kid Martin Odegaard scored a brilliant goal for Vitesse this past weekend and it looks like he could have a role —probably a minor one— in Los Blancos next season. The playmaker talked to the press after the game and confirmed that a decision about his future hasn’t been made yet.

“I still have to talk with Real Madrid and we will make that decision together,” said Odegaard, whose season for Vitesse has been positive.

Considering that he’s still young and that he needs meaningful minutes to develop and improve as a player, yet another loan deal to a much more competitive team than Vitesse would make sense so that Odegaard can also get some experience in elite football.

It would be ideal for the player to get some experience in La Liga and if other Spanish clubs are willing to sign him to a loan deal, Real Madrid should pull the trigger and see what Odegaard can do in Spain.
