Navas’ wife’s Instagram post fuels new rumors where keeper may play next season

Following up from last night’s report where Courtois was reportedly given the starting nod for next season by Zidane, new social media activity has various outlets, specifically AS and Portuguese outlet A Bola, speculating where Keylor Navas may play next season should he leave.

Andrea Salas, Navas’ wife, reportedly posted on Instagram “We’re staying here!” while vacationing in Porto. This rather vague post has of course now created speculation that Navas may move to Porto next season with Iker Casillas possibly retiring after his recent heart attack.

There’s not much here to suggest that Navas is going to move to Porto just because of his wife’s post, it’s fairly clickbait. All it seems to be is an innocent post about the couple enjoying Porto and nothing more until any actual transfer action occurs.

Zidane and Brahim reportedly have brief meeting in training

According to MARCA, Zinedine Zidane and Brahim Diaz reportedly interacting with each other at Valdebebas during training after recent rumors that Brahim could be going on loan next season.

MARCA also reported that Zidane gave the 19-year-old a brief message saying “I’m counting on you kid.” If true, this is perhaps a vote of confidence from manager to youngster ahead of a season where Brahim isn’t certain to even be at Real Madrid.

At this point, it’s still unknown what will happen with Brahim heading into next season and whether he will participate with the first team again.

New rumor on asking price for Paul Pogba move to Real Madrid

According to a new “report” from the Independent, Manchester United supposedly are asking for £150 million from Real Madrid in any transfer with Paul Pogba. Zidane has reportedly agreed to sell Navas to fund the move as well.

The British outlet also reports that Paul Pogba wants to be made the highest paid player in the world at £500,000, which would still put him behind Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar in wages, so still not really the highest paid in the world in actuality.

First off, the Independent isn’t very reliable and this entire report reads like typical, false football rumors. It’s likely not true that Real would even be willing to pay £150 million for Pogba if that asking price from United is even true.

It’s probably not false that Pogba is on his way out of Old Trafford, but this “report” is likely more clickbait speculation surrounding this situation. Pogba would be a nice addition to Real Madrid next season, but certainly not at a price tag or wages like that.

This is not to suggest that Pogba isn’t a realistic target for Real this summer, he very well could be. I just wouldn’t trust this rumor until more reliable sources come out.
