Serbian attacker Luka Jovic will sign a five-year deal with Real Madrid, according to a report from Sky Germany. Los Blancos will pay Eintracht Frankfurt €60 million and the move will be announced next week, per that same report.

It definitely looks like Jovic will become Madrid’s first signing for next season —other than Militao, who was announced shortly after the winter window—. A report from MARCA suggests that an agreement has not been reached just yet as Eintrach want to get at least €70 million to let Jovic go, but a deal seems quite likely.

Jovic is a young striker who will be expected to be Karim Benzema’s backup next season. He’s 21 years old and while he’s completed brilliant performances for Eintracht this year, he might not have the experience needed to lead Madrid’s attack on a consistent basis. However, this is a quality signing given that Jovic might have the potential to be an undisputed starter for years to come.
