Tottenham coach Mauricio Pochettino wants to sign Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos this next summer, according to a report from AS. Pochettino thinks Ceballos would be a perfect replacement for Christian Eriksen in case the Danish player ends up leaving the club in the next few transfer windows, per that same report.

Ceballos had been playing well this season but Zinedine Zidane’s return to the club puts him in a tough spot given that the midfielder hasn’t had enough chances to play under the French coach. Furthermore, he knows he could be an important player for the Spanish national team in the 2020 UEFA Euro and doesn’t want to miss that kind of chance if he is just a reserve for Zidane.

All in all, Ceballos clearly has the potential to be an impact player in elite football. Zidane doesn’t like his playing style and now he will have to find a new club to display his talent.
