Eintracht Frankfurt attacker Luka Jovic appeared to be set to become Real Madrid’s first signing of the upcoming transfer window, but reports from La Sexta and MARCA now suggest that the talks between both clubs have stalled as Madrid are not willing to spend more than €50 million on the striker. The German side want to take advantage of Jovic’s potential and the brilliant performances he’s completed this season and will not sell the attacker for less than €70 million, per those same reports.

Jovic might still be the most realistic target to upgrade Real Madrid’s attacking line, but it seems that Los Blancos just don’t want to spend that kind of money on a player who would be expected to be Benzema’s backup next season.
All things considered, it looks like Chelsea’s Eden Hazard is Madrid’s priority. The winger could play his last game for Chelsea next Wednesday as a deal between the London-based club and Los Blancos appears to be almost done.
