Eintracht Frankfurt are interested in the signing of Real Madrid attacker Mariano Diaz, according to Marca. Real Madrid are set to complete a €60 million deal for Eintracht's Luka Jovic and Mariano would be his replacement in the German club.
Mariano made his return to Real Madrid last summer but has not made an impact whenever he's been given relevant minutes. Los Blancos were expecting more from him and now it makes sense to sign a quality backup striker while parting ways with Mariano.
The Bundesliga seems a good fit for Mariano. Eintracht are a quality club and the attacker completed good performances with Lyon, so he will be looking forward to replicating that kind of success if Real Madrid and Eintracht find a way to include him in any potential deal for Jovic, who seems to be on his way to Real Madrid.
Los Blancos could try to decrease the prize for Jovic to €50 million if Eintracht confirm their interest in Mariano.
