Real Madrid announce squad for La Liga match against Villarreal

Real Madrid published their squad list for Sunday’s home match against Villarreal. This game will be Vinicius’ return to the team after missing the last few weeks with the injury he picked up during the terrible loss against Ajax in the Champions League Round of 16.

REAL MADRID SQUAD:

Goalkeepers: Navas, Courtois and Luca.

Defenders: Carvajal, Vallejo, Varane, Nacho, Marcelo and Reguilón.

Midfielders: Kroos, Casemiro, Valverde, M. Llorente, Asensio, Brahim and Isco.

Forwards: Mariano, Lucas Vázquez and Vinicius Jr.

Ceballos has not been included in the list after making the cut last week, as if further confirmation about his upcoming departure was needed. Ramos is still injured and now the spotlight will be on Courtois and Navas, given that coach Zinedine Zidane has given both keepers a chance to play even when both of them were available before Courtois got hurt.

Vinicius will most likely come off the bench as Real Madrid have nothing to play for and should play it safe considering that this is his first match since the muscle injury.
