Real Madrid have already begun making moves in the transfer market and that includes how they will handle some of their young talents like Achraf, Odegaard, and Oscar. For the latter, it will be another year on loan to Leganes. Oscar amassed over 2,500 minutes last season scoring 4 goals and contributing 4 assists. He became a cornerstone in Pellegrino’s midfield and showed his versatility playing primarily in central midfield, but also featuring as a second striker, on the left wing, and on the right. According to transfermrkt, his value has increased more than 6x to a value of €6 million, far surpassing his €800K value while at Castilla.

Earlier in the year, Oscar himself admitted that he would be open to another year with Leganes having found ample playing time and a family-like culture at the club. Oscar will now have another year to develop under the tutelage of Mauricio Pellegrino. Fans would hope to see him step up even further and once again surpass expectations laid down by becoming the protagonist of this Leganes team.
Interesting to note, Andriy Lunin’s loan has not been extended. This gives further credence to the rumors suggesting that the young Ukrainian prospect will return to Real Madrid as Courtois understudy.
