Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos talked to the press ahead of Spain’s match against Sweden and said that he’s happy in the club.

“I just had to talk in press conference and we managed to stop all the rumors. I’m very happy in Real Madrid and also with the national team,” said Ramos when asked about his surprising press conference to deny the rumors suggesting that he was going to leave the club.

Real Madrid completed the signing of Eden Hazard last Friday and naturally Ramos was asked about his new teammate.

“Hazard is a fantastic player and he will be very useful towards being a stronger team next season. He’ll be wonderful,” said the captain.

Spain will play at the Santiago Bernabeu and Ramos couldn’t be any happier.

“It’s impossible to play at a better stadium than this one. The Bernabeu has always been a great example, I remember such a great atmosphere when we played Italy. When the fans go after it in this stadium the opposition always struggle,” concluded the defender.

Sergio Ramos is 33 years old and will be required to lead Real Madrid’s defensive line once again this upcoming season. although it’s true that new signing Eder Militao will allow him to rest more often in order to maximize his performances.
