James to Napoli reports arise—TV Luna

According to Sky Napoli and TV Luna’s Carlo Alvino, who seems to be considered a Tier 1 source for Napoli, James Rodriguez has a real chance to join Napoli and has already agreed to join, on both a possible loan or permanent transfer should the deal go through. The rumored offer from Napoli from other outlets has been €40 million.

Should James join Napoli, he would be reunited with Carlo Ancelotti, who James saw his most success under at Real Madrid. This truly could be a good move for James to spark his career back to life after his Bayern loan.

Another James loan doesn’t seem like the best option here if these reports hold true. Real would benefit best with a permanent transfer as they could use some good money and his contract expires in 2021.

According to Jose Luis Sanchez, Welsh physiotherapist Jaime Benito, who is apparently close with Gareth Bale, is no longer with Real Madrid. Sanchez says that Benito is one of Bale’s closest supporters in the locker room.

MARCA also made this report, including another physiotherapist Victor Fonseca, who they report is closest with Marcelo. The report also states that Benito has accompanied Bale to Wales matches as well.

While this doesn’t mean a whole lot, losing a supporter in the locker room will make it a bit harder for Bale, though he could still reach out as he reportedly does for the national team.

Mbappe transfer to Madrid could be hastened by Griezmann move to Paris—AS

According to AS, Mbappe could be a real possibility to join Real Madrid should PSG find a deal for Antoine Griezmann, who would likely replace him.

The report states that Perez has a two-year plan for an Mbappe transfer, which would arrive in 2021 if Mbappe has not agreed to extend his contract with PSG past 2023. It also says that Perez would want Mbappe to negotiate a release clause in any improved contract should he re-negotiate terms with PSG.

AS’ report also points out the reported €180 million offer from Real Madrid for Mbappe in 2017, when he was 17 and still with Monaco. The deal fell through when Mbappe took higher wages at PSG and stayed closer to home. Obviously, he was not nearly as rated as he is now that he has a World Cup under his belt and is becoming a rising superstar every season.

The rumored deal is well-known by now and it’s almost certain Real are interested in Mbappe. This summer still seems a bit too much of wishful thinking, even if Griezmann joins PSG which isn’t even a guarantee as he could still join Barcelona, but next summer could be realistic as many have predicted.

AS does waver on transfer credibility, but it’s no stretch to say Real will try to make a move for him in the near future, it truly seems like a matter of when at this point.
