Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba would be willing to take a salary cut and sign a lesser contract in order to complete a move to Real Madrid, according to a report from MARCA. Pogba knows that it won’t be easy for Los Blancos to sign him away from Manchester United and that’s the reason why he wants to make that potential move easier.
United would not let Pogba leave the club for less than €150 million, per that same report. However, his agent Mino Raiola has already informed the Manchester-based club of Pogba’s intention to leave the Red Devils, so United could ultimately be tempted to sell the player and move on if Madrid’s offer is good enough.
Pogba would be the final signing for Real Madrid this summer —assuming Los Blancos announce Lyon’s Ferland Mendy in the next few weeks—. Still, keep in mind that it won’t be easy for Florentino Perez and the rest of the board to sign the French midfielder even if he’s Zidane’s priority, so this transfer saga could take a while.
