Colombian playmaker James Rodriguez is set to make his return to Real Madrid after a two-year loan deal in Bayern Munich. However, he won’t stay in the Spanish capital for long as Los Blancos simply don’t want to keep him around. Most reports indicate that Napoli are interested in reuniting James with his former coach in Madrid Carlo Ancelotti, and president Aurelio Di Laurentiis confirm that Napoli might end up being James’ destination.
“I won’t sign Icardi, but we will see what happens with Lozano and James Rodriguez...,” said De Laurentiis to Spormediaset.
Napoli want to close their current gap with Juventus and James Rodriguez would be a quality player for them if coach Ancelotti can once again get the best out of him.
No fee has been rumored yet but Madrid might pull the trigger if they receive a €40 million offer, given that James’ value has decreased a lot over the last four seasons.
