Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos talked to Onda Cero last night and revealed that he will make a decision about his future right after the upcoming UEFA U21 Euro, where he will be expected to lead Spain’s midfield line.
“Zidane talked to me and was very clear about his plans. I accepted what he told me and my future will be decided when the U21 is over,” said Ceballos.
“It’s tough when you don’t have the trust of your coach. I feel I am an important player for the Spanish national team and it’s a different feeling from the one I have in Real Madrid,” admitted the midfielder.
“With Lopetegui I was getting good minutes and I felt important, but things changed after he got sacked,” he added.
Real Madrid will almost certainly sell Ceballos this summer although it’s true that the club could keep a buyback clause just in case the midfielder starts playing at a high level in his new club.
