Real Madrid president Florentino Perez delivered a speech during the presentation of new striker Luka Jovic. Perez is confident about Real’s upcoming season and acknowledges that the team underachieved during the 2018-2019 campaign.
“This has not been the season we were expecting but we will turn things around with determination while trying to achieve our historic duty which is to win. This club will never give up and we will prove it once again. Winning four Champions League in five years is something quite unique and magic, we will learn to appreciate it as time goes by,” said Perez.
“Now our duty is to win again and we are happy to welcome one of those players with that mission. The biggest clubs in Europe were after him and he’s now one of our own. Being a Real Madrid player was your dream and now it’s true. I thank you for choosing this club to keep improving as one of the world’s best strikers,” he added.
“You’re here because of your talent and your work ethic, you’ve fought to sign for Madrid and you’ve done being 21 years old. You wanted to be part of this legendary club which is Real Madrid and you’ve made it. This is the biggest challenge of your career and you’ll be with such a wonderful coach and the world’s best players,” concluded the president.
Real Madrid will unveil Eden Hazard this Thursday in what will most likely be the team’s biggest presentation this summer.
