Brazilian wonder kid Rodrygo Goes, who will join Real Madrid this summer, talked to Santos TV about his new club and what he expects going forward.
“I’m excited about joining Madrid, it’s one of the biggest clubs and while its greatness can be intimidating, that feeling is good because it gets you excited and it forces you to prove yourself and why they were right when they decided to sign you,” said Rodrygo.
The wonder kid might need to spend some time on the bench, especially after the signing of Belgian star Eden Hazard. However, he will stay patient and pay attention to what Vinicius achieved last season.
“It’s helpful to know that he’s there. He’s also very young and has played there for one season, so that will help me. It’s also important to have some Brazilian players in the dressing room because even though Spanish isn’t very different it’s important to have some teammates who speak your language,” he added.
Rodrygo is a very intriguing prospect but Real Madrid fans will need to be patient as he will not be expected to get many relevant minutes next season. A loan deal might also make sense although it doesn’t seem to be in Real Madrid’s plans.
