Two-time former Real Madrid coach, Fabio Capello, took some time out on his 73rd birthday to speak with Radio Marca. In a separate interview earlier in the year, Capello had mentioned that Real Madrid would have €500 million euros to spend this summer on new arrivals. With €300 million already spent, the club could be well on course to meet that prediction. In his interview with Radio Marca, the Italian commented on Madrid’s work so far in the current transfer window: “The Galacticos have returned to Real Madrid once again and Eden Hazard is one of them”.

The Italian coach went on to discuss the quality of Madrid’s signings, not just Hazard. “I know the players Madrid have signed, I believe they are going to help a lot,” the coach referenced Militao, Mendy, Jovic, and Rodrygo who have all already signed for Real Madrid prior to July 1st and the start of pre-season on July 8th. “Real Madrid needed to do something, new faces and more hunger, I do think Real Madrid are signing well,” he concluded.

It seems all of Zidane’s request are being met, though, there is one desire that still remains — Paul Pogba. The last, and most difficult signing, could very well be the Frenchman. Pogba has recently stated his desire to have a new challenge and Zidane has reportedly made the World Cup winner his top target. Manchester United have reportedly declared the Frenchman in-transferable, but this could be a signing that goes down to the final day.
